Acceptable use policy

Draft, version 2026-09-29, awaiting legal review. It describes how the service works today; the reviewed version will replace it before public sign-up opens.

MyOwnReach is for honest one-to-one business outreach at a human pace. Everyone on it shares a warm-up pool and an unsubscribe domain, so one sender's bad behaviour harms everyone else's deliverability. These rules protect that.

You must

  • Have a lawful basis for every address you upload. For UK and EU contacts that normally means legitimate interest for business addresses, recorded before you send. Under UK PECR, mail to individual (sole trader, partnership or personal) addresses needs their consent.
  • Say who you are: a real sender name, a working reply address, and your postal address in the footer (Settings → Ventures).
  • Keep an unsubscribe route in every campaign email, and honour it. MyOwnReach does this for you unless you switch the footer off.
  • Stop when asked. Replies asking to be removed are suppressed automatically; do not work around it.

You must not

  • Upload bought, rented, scraped-without-review or shared lists, or any list whose people did not have a reasonable expectation of hearing from you.
  • Send misleading subject lines, spoofed senders, phishing, malware, or anything illegal, including unlicensed financial, medical or gambling offers.
  • Hide links behind shorteners, rotate domains to dodge blocklists, or use MyOwnReach to send from mailboxes you do not control.
  • Email role addresses (abuse@, postmaster@, noreply@ and similar). MyOwnReach blocks them.
  • Try to get round plan limits, the new-account sending ramp, or a suspension.

What we do about it

  • New workspaces send at most 100 campaign emails a day in their first week, 300 in the second and 1,000 until day 30, whatever the plan.
  • Recipients can report an email as spam from its unsubscribe page. That address is then suppressed for every customer. Three reports in seven days suspend sending for the workspace until a person has reviewed it.
  • We can suspend or close a workspace that breaks these rules (see the terms). Report abuse at myownreach.com/abuse.
